Arcevia is a beautiful town located about 500 meters above sea level, in an ideal location for relaxing holidays, but especially in a location that made it the "key" in the Middle Ages three regions: Marche, Umbria and the Duchy of Urbino.
The history of Arcevia has ancient origins: until the year 1817 the center was called Rocca Contrada, Pius VII was later to confer the title of city and give it the current name, probably derived from Arces Street, namely 'fortified place'.

Today what was once an impregnable fortress and stern on the crest of Mount Cisco is mostly a quiet agricultural center, opened to tourism inspired by history, art and the rediscovery of the relaxing hills.
