At the foot of the fortress of pens at the beginning of the stream valley tributary Arogno dell'Arroscia, lies the rural village of Armo.
In 1233 it merged with other municipalities to create the Pieve di Teco.
Before moving, in 1386, under the jurisdiction of the Republic of Genoa was included in Marquis Clavesana.
From 1928 to 1949 was admitted to the municipality of Pieve di Teco.
The parish church dedicated to the Nativity of Mary dates back to the sixteenth century and retains a fine altarpiece in the fifteenth century by an unknown author.
Each district has its own church, including the nineteenth-century church of St. Bartholomew, the church of San Sebastiano Bridge, dedicated to St. Anthony to Cosne and one dedicated to St. Matthew in the district Grenzolini.
Until the early nineteenth century, the road that joined the Piedmont and Liguria passed from Armo.
Prevails in the area the cultivation of olive trees and vines, but the economy is also based on the exploitation of coppice (oaks) and livestock.
There are popular hunting grounds and caves (not visited).
From the hill of Armo opens a fascinating landscape: the sea extends to Monviso.
Armo is to produce wine doc Ormeasco, virgin olive oil, timber, milk and mushrooms.
The dish is called flat or feidu carbunera, once said capun from prison: a toast sprinkled with hot sauce are made mixed vegetables, boiled eggs and anchovies.
