Traveling on the SP. 231 is surrounded by extensive olive groves of Bitonto Roman municipality and important center Lombard, Byzantine, Norman Swabian.
There was no rule that missed appointment under its walls, placed beyond the deep Lama Balice, ancient river bed Tiflis, now established Natural Park, after which you get to the center guarded by the majestic tower.
All around you open the square seat with churches, museums and palaces, including the splendid Palazzo Sylos Calò triportico of the '400 century and the loggia.
The beautiful Romanesque Cathedral, dedicated to SS. Assumption, was built on an early Christian temple: do not miss, inside, the beautiful mosaic floors and a large rectangular panel with the great figure of a griffin.
