This town, which is the most important in Mugello, rose near San Lorenzo Parish Church, a Romanesque structure with a semi-dodecagonal shaped bell-tower that holds a Madonna attributed to Giotto.
We suggest to visit the Museo della Manifattura Chini - ceramics museum - in the historical Villa Pecori Giraldi with its assortment of: objects in ceramic, fittings for the home in grès, and glass produced by the Chini family.
We recommend the interesting Liberty (Art Nouveau) itinerary ali along the historical centre that traces the actvity of the family.
We also recommend a trip to the historical Villa di Striano (Pulicciano), Museo di Casa d'Erci (Grezzano), museum of farm life and customs, where there is a vast display of farm tools and information on farm culture.
It is possible to follow an interesting historical nature trail in the surrounding area that allows the visitor to discover the vegetation typical of the territory.
Also in the area we find the 10th century San Giovanni Maggiore Parish Church with its 11th century octagonal bell-tower, and the Madonna dei Tre Fiumi Chapel ( 1578) with its interesting high altar in pietra serena (the typical sandstone).
In front of the chapel we also find the Mulino Margheri, antique water mill.
