The grandeur of the buildings is about a much older and solid prosperity of the current related to tourism: Camogli until the last century was not just a fishing village, but also to ship owners are known throughout the world.
Of this great past remains a curious track, the production of handmade model ships.

A good opportunity to taste even camogliesi, sweet paste made from cream puffs and custard with rum.
The remains of San Fortunato and some relics of San Prospero are kept in the parish of Santa Maria Assunta, built in the twelfth century on a small promontory which is the original core of the country.
Alongside stands the castle of contemporary Dragonara fortification repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt.
The park of Portofino offers natural resources of rare beauty, such as those that can be admired along the route leading to the abbey of San Fruttuoso.
Accessible by a path that passes by the Church of San Rocco, or with the boat service that double the promontory of Punta Chiappa and crosses the Golden haul, the religious complex of the eighth century, according to tradition was built to house the remains of San Fruttuoso martyr.
The fishing village is much older, dating back at least to the second or third century. In the thirteenth century the Doria had built the Abbey, where are buried many members of the noble family.
Immerse yourself in the background you can see the famous Christ of the Abyss, a sculpture by Guido Galletti fell into the sea in 1954 to protect sailors.
