The plain of Albenga is bordered to the east by Mount Cross (541 m) near the coast, where stands Ceriale, seaside resort among the most equipped and used in Liguria.
The village, which before becoming Podesta of the Republic of Genoa belonged to the bishop of Albenga, is characterized by a fortification erected in 1564 to defend against attacks by the Saracens (as the lookout tower, a little later).
The beach is almost entirely of sand, with pebbles in some places, the seabed, also sandy, is suitable for diving.

The valley of the river IBA is the subject of attraction and study for botanists, as it has a spontaneous microcoltura alpine vegetation, singular fact only 200 yards, the basin of the river is instead Torsero regional park, as the archaeological area and among the most fossiliferous interesting in Italy.
Many findings from excavations are kept in the museum of the village of Peagna, a relatively new suburb, which was formed after the abandonment of some smaller nearby cities, such as deer (of which the ruins are still visible).
