Shepherds, sheep and high passes that blend in green fields and fresh and clear waters that flow in the surrounding valleys, those of artistic fountains, the famous source Porali and Water Gardens: This is Collagna, near the ridge Reggio Apennines, where the echoes from the distant Tuscan feel very clearly.
Coming from the road that crosses the river Secchia meet the territories of the ancient village of nasset, where the picturesque landscape of ruins enchanted earns note that in some cases date from the eleventh century.
The story here has passed through the Passo del Cerreto, which saw armies, merchants and shepherds transhumance, creating that typical trait d'union of peoples and places of the ridge, which is again in force and identity of the National Park 'Appennino Tosco Emiliano.
The Highway 63 runs through the residential area of Collagna, separating it into two parts located at different heights.
The oldest is placed below the road.
Check it along the Via della Fonte, the ancient road that starts near the old mill and sawmill, and
which leads to the side of ancient buildings, whose facades remain visible elements on the sixteenth century. From downtown Collagna opens the way to the village of Valbona and Vallisnera Here is a circuit which, through the villages, to reach the pass Pratizzano, area voca-tion for walks and picnics. Continuing on, you then reach the surveillance of the Scalucchia Pass through the ancient Street of the Shepherds, and then return to Valbona, agricultural country where sheep, cows and horses graze in the serene meadows at high altitude.
The route, alpine flavor, is among the most scenic and exciting in the whole valley.
