In Ligonchio time passes slowly. With its extraordinary landscape, the area retains characteristics of absolute value: can you really say that nature preserves integrates its full force in the clear waters, forests of beech and chestnut, still in the fields dotted with wild lilies, gentian and orchids, the rarest species of wildlife such as deer, mouflon, deer, marmots, eagles and hawks.
Then there are structures of considerable architectural interest, with ancient villages and farmyards paved carved stone portals, speakers, fountains, wash that, together, create a unique atmosphere that encourages tourists to hiking in a natural and uncontaminated environment.

Ligonchio is the highest common Appennino Reggiano and is situated between the beautiful valleys and Ozola Secchia, near the slopes of Mount Cusna in the heart of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine National Park.
In the old center is worth visiting the religious building dedicated to St. Andrew, who shows a simple façade of the seventeenth century while the tower dates from the first half of the eighteenth century.
