Mazzo di Valtellina (by Matsch, or the current Valley Mazia in Venosta Valley, from which the noble landowners of the municipality in high-medieval period) is a town in the province of Sondrio in Valtellina medium-high.
Altitude: 562 m. Step Mortirolo (1852 Foppa pitch) with peaks over 3000 meters.
The area of the deck affects both sides of the Valtellina, between the towns of Vervio Grosotto south and north.
In Orobico side, note the passage of Mortirolo which forms the border with the province of Brescia, while in the Rhaetian side of the border is with Switzerland (pitch Schiazzera).
The valley flows the river Adda.
