A town that has retained its own harmony, supported, like all other castles of Valconca Malatesta, on a gentle hill overlooking the river and the plain below.
The old town has retained many features of the fortified town surrounded by spacious green areas.
The collection is particularly well-balanced.
Very obvious are the evidence of membership of the thick castle defensive system of this part of Signoria Malatesta Valconca exposed to attack from above.
Notable campaigns with large vineyards and olive groves: one which we can define the streets of the landscape of lordship.
Note the good integration between settlements and agricultural activities.
Monte Colombo can be reached quickly from San Marino and you can take the valley road that leads directly to the Apennine, toward an area that slowly leaves the traits of low hill to become one of the pastures and woods.
Monte Colombo has always maintained close relations with the history of Rimini.
The country is already governed by Rimini in 568 and are under the direct rule Malatesta in 1271.
