The most important center of Sarrabus located at the mouth of Flumendosa the middle of a campaign planted with citrus.
The area in ancient times stood the Phoenician city of Sarcapos.
The country is almost attached to Villaputzu and San Vito, ideal starting point for excursions along the coast and valleys of the interior.
Toward the north coast, to Porto Corallo, is a long sandy beach interrupted by small rocky headlands.
Torre Salinas dominated by a granite outcrop of the sandy shore of the pond Colostrai.
Near the marina another tower in Spain that in 1812 saw one of the few victories of Sardis on the Barbary pirates.
A hike along to the Orientale Sarda Arbatax leads to the ruins of Castle Quirra and the Romanesque church of San Nicola, the only one in Sardinia, built of brick.
Heading instead toward Cagliari, go up the course of the Rio Cannas where the red rock outcrop between arbutus, heather, myrtle and juniper.
In summer you can bathe in pools of clear water in the shade of the oleanders in bloom and weeping willows.
Also interesting hike along the valley of Flumendosa beyond San Vito.
Castiadas is a fraction of Muravera, with few houses around the nineteenth-century prisons, in the middle of a campaign cultivated with vineyards and citrus.
Beautiful stretch of coast around Cape Ferrat, with basaltic rocks, which open in bays with white sandy beaches, shaded by pine trees.
Further south meets Costa Rei, a center of second homes and holiday villages.
The bay here is closed south of Cala Sinzias: the bottom consists of rock slabs gives the water a shimmering transparency.
