Nuragus, a small town at the foot of the Sarcidano of Gesturi Clara, now is the center of the northernmost province of Cagliari.
Its territory, less than 2,000 hectares of pastures and cultivated fields alternated with cereals, provides the basis for those who have always been the main activities on which the peasant pastoralist economy.
This small town on the border between the natural and the most fertile Campidano wild Barbagia denotes all the ambivalent character of their geographical location.
The same landscape is varied and sometimes offering fascinating glimpses of Barbagia unexpectedly in the northernmost part of its territory.
On the other hand however, the vast expanses of land for cereals, showing openness to the southern Great Plains.
