Pontinvrea is a small farming town in the upper valley of wandering, surrounded by woods that in past centuries have provided the wood for the shipyards of Savona.
Collection and initial processing of wood still remains an important economic activity for the area, known for its orchards and vegetable gardens and also as a resort.

Good standard of sports facilities including: a sferisterio, a multipurpose ice rink, tennis courts, football and bowls, as well as several picnic areas for children.
