Roccasecca is a country of so-called Ciociaria or more precisely "Old earth working" with a history spanning more than 'a thousand years.
The town was actually established by Abbot Manso, rector of the nearby Abbey of Monte Cassino, in the year 995 DCsul Mount Asprano.
