"Janua patet", is written on the crest of Uscio, "the door is open".
Originally from Lombard, Uscio is that both the position (between the coast and a port downstream Fontanabuona), both for the tradition of hospitality.
The constant recycling of mountain air and makes the salty as a mild winter on the coast, and the cool summer in the mountains.

Just an hour's walk to climb from Uscio to mountain Tuggio and descend the steps of the passo della Spinarola.
The Monte Bello can be reached through the passage of the passo della Spinarola (with castle ruins, Neolithic settlement), a Colombian tour ideally follows the path of the ancestors of Columbus from Terrarossa, place of origin of the family, and fifth nerves through the Colle Caprile and mountain Cornu.
The oldest church in Uscio is the Romanesque church of Sant 'Ambrogio, built around the Thousand: wooden statues in the fifteenth century by Luca Cambiaso.
The new and larger church of Sant 'Ambrogio, built in 1895, is embellished by the eleven marble altars, frescoes from the ceiling and the gilded stucco.
Trofie Matte, made with chestnut flour, are a variation of the typical Uscio trofie recchesi white flour.
Noin e Batolli are turnip greens with Batolli, noodles made with chestnut flour.
Do not miss the polenta with the cabbage.
