Vezzano from a hill overlooking the confluence of the Magra, Vara, and is the focal point of the roads, coming from Aulla one o'clock and the other (the former Aurelia) from Sarzana, head without crossing into the Gulf of spice.
In medieval times the lords of Vezzano were at the head of a vast feudal domain well beyond the current municipal boundaries.
From the thirteenth century Genoese influence began, first with the Fieschi and then with the Republic of Genoa the Superb Vezzano remain faithful for centuries.
From Vezzano John was one of the companions of Christopher Columbus on his way to the new world.
Vezzano consists of two separate villages (Upper and Lower), interconnected mussels from the village.
Castle Vezzano Less is incorporated in part in Palazzo Giustiniani, built in the seventeenth century.
Remains intact, however, the pentagonal tower on the opposite side of the village.
The arch marks the entrance of St. George by way of Ripa, rising from the farmland on the River.

The annual harvest, the third Sunday of September is an opportunity for a grape festival very much felt by the population that is divided into districts, the challenge in different tests of ability to overcome the torment, the scope for grabs.
Rich and inviting the local cuisine: try the tagiarin en grain and beans (pasta and beans), the Fugazi, a kind of pandolce, and some tasty recipes variants of Genoa.
