The largest island in the Gulf of Naples is now a popular destination, frequented by international tourists all year round, thanks to a mild climate.
The landscape of extraordinary beauty has earned the name of Green Island: fertility of its soil, from which are famous wines, produces beautiful blooms.
In addition to great beaches and scenic, which makes it a must Ischia are its spas, famous for the quality of water and for scenarios that are the backdrop for plants and spa.

Here in the beautiful Villa Arbusto, was home to the Archaeological Museum of Pithecusae, which holds valuable artifacts.
Ischia was in fact the first settlement in greek Tyrrhenian area, founded in the eighth century BC Greeks under the name Pithekousa (Island pithekoi, "monkeys", or pithoi, "clay pots").
At that period are some of the most important finds of the museum, including the famous Nestor's cup.
From the crypt of the nearby church of Santa Restituta you access to the excavation of an early Christian basilica and museum exhibits that tell the history of the island by the Greeks to the early Christians.
Forio, less frequented by mass tourism, the character retains strong traditional fishing village.
Here, on a rocky outcrop, stands the white sanctuary of Santa Maria del Soccorso, shapes inspired by local architecture.
The sunset in this corner of paradise with the red sun to stir up the white walls of the church, is a unique experience.
The center of the fifteenth century is dominated by a tower used as a Museum.
The legendary Citara beach is one of the most beautiful island.
Near Forio is to see the spectacular garden of the Aude, the villa of composer Sir William Walton, designed dall'insigne landscape architect Russell Page.
On the southern island lies the charming St. Angelo, a tiny fishing settlement became an elegant resort.
